Lewis J. Obi M.D., board certified plastic surgeon, has practiced in Jacksonville, Florida since the 1970's and continues to set the pace for his colleagues. He was born in Jacksonville, graduated Cum Laude, Rho Chi and Phi Kappa Phi at the University of Florida, acquiring a five year degree in three years. After working as a practicing pharmacist, he then graduated from the University of Miami (Cum Laude and AOA) while working full time as a pharmacist to support his family. Dr. Lewis Obi then completed his residencies in General Surgery, Hand Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery with additional training in Cardiovascular Surgery as well as Heart Transplant Surgery.

Dr. Obi has always been involved with the training of residents and other surgeons. However, during the past three years, his practice has thrived because of the integration of Advanced Laser Techniques and new Adult Stem Cell Technology. Last year alone, Dr. Obi was a primary speaker at advanced symposia in New York, Dallas, Denver, Santa Monica, Orlando and Long Island. He has taught and shared his clinical work with an enormous international audience of multi-specialty physicians. His 12,000 square foot State and Nationally licensed center, was the first in Florida and one of the earliest in the United States. His love and passion for art expressed through his international firm of Obiarts resulted in the induction of Dr. Obi as a fellow to the Royal Society of Art, London (FRSA) in 1986. Obiarts has contributed world class art to dozens of major museums and institutions.

Dr. Obi served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy. His Marine Corps discipline is still pervasive in his every day life. He has completed three New York City Marathons, acquired the level of black belt in three different styles and is currently testing for a second degree black belt. Because of Dr. Obi's expansive background in pharmacy, medicine and surgery, he is a major proponent of wellness, anti-aging and the science of stem cells.
